The marketing application is a Government of Ontario tool for the organizing and reporting of all marketing and advertising campaigns. Built using the microservice architectural style (an approach to developing a single application as a suite of small services, each running in its own process and communicating via), this tool has the capability of expanding to track workflow and spending of all marketing and digital activities.
I led the UX team for all user research and prototyping, led the design and user flow of the system, and was responsible for coding the entire frontend of the application including ensuring the application’s accessibility.
Being able to lead the research and design of the system gave me the freedom to really listen to the user’s needs and build a system that exceeded their expectations.
Designs and Output
The marketing application has seen a significant increase in advisor productivity. Having the ability to immediately download reports and centralize all information has eased advisor workflow and has allowed for increased accountability.
This project is now in it’s phase 2 production where it will be expanded to accommodate other report back structures for other areas of government.
